TIMELY NOTES! Movement will be faster and better when light is brighter. No matter how familiar you are with your staircase, you won't run through it in the dark. Darkness is a compelling force; once it comes, it subdues everything inside it. And even if you desire to move very fast, the darkness will naturally compel you to pick one step at a time. The proven way to overpower darkness is to engage light. Darkness only occupies where there is no light. Life has a staircase, and everyone is expected to step-up. But scripture tells us that the whole world is filled with darkness. I believe this is why many people have not gone beyond their first step in life. When you no longer understand how things are going, and when everything seems to be working contrary to your plan, then you're probably in the dark. Nothing works for you in the dark. This is what I do whenever I don't understand what is happening, I go for knowledge! That's how far we'd go on today's T

TIMELY NOTES! We're in a revival! Soon, churches will be crowded, such that multitudes will not be able to enter. Pastors will be interrupted during their sermon, and they'd have only little time to preach, because multitudes will be yelling for the salvation of their souls - even while church services are going on. The church will become the life camp of the world, and services will be compelled to hold morning, afternoon and night, all through the week. This revival is reversing the order of evangelism. We won't have to look for people to preach to, multitudes will be waiting at our gates just to hear the word of salvation. We won't be afraid of evil occurrences when we go out, rather, our fear will be how to escape the multitudes of souls that won't let us go until we lead them to Christ. These things are going to happen in a twinkling of an eye, Believers should get ready. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words

TIMELY NOTES! You may be sacked from your job, but don't ever sack yourself from working. It's not the "job of our hands" that God blesses, but the "works of our hands". Organizations may not give you a job, but they can't stop you from working. As believers, we're not permitted to sit back at home all in the name of "there is no job". If you can't find a job or a contract to execute, then look for places where you can work voluntarily, especially places where you know they cannot afford your bills. God has a way of blessing the works of our hands. He may not pay you from the person you worked for, but He'd surely pay you. Sometimes, the reason why we get jobless or out of contract to execute is because we're blind to the needs of those who desperately need our skills and services but cannot afford them. I've not been on a job for a while now, but somehow, God pays me for all the voluntary works I do for people and organ

TIMELY NOTES! God does not keep secrets! The bible records that He sees the prayers and fastings we do in our secret places, but rewards openly. That also means, people may not be aware of the times when you suffer in prayer and fasting, but God will surely create the awareness, because He'd reward you in such a way that people will see it. God is not partial; whatever a man sows, he'd reap. Don't be too quick to judge prosperous people, because you may not be aware of their secret labours. Jacob wrestled with an angel in secret, and the reward was given to him in an open place. And Esau who was supposed to kill him suddenly embraced him. Paul and Silas prayed and sang in the prison, but God caused an earthquake, just to free them. He could have easily opened the gate, but He didn't, because He doesn't keep secrets. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words; IF GOD IS THE ONLY WITNESS YOU HAVE, THEN HE'S THE ONLY

TIMELY NOTES! You worth so much to God. That's why He sent His only Son to die for you. Isaiah 13:12 tells us that God will make a man more precious than gold. This means that people will give up their riches just to see or even hear you. A time is coming when some parents won't be burdened by their children's school fees; because, even people who don't know their children would be paying their school fees for them. How would you feel if your child gives you a receipt of a bill you didn't pay? We are in an era when people will place more value on a believer than their riches. We may not be their choice to be employed into their organizations, we may not be their choice to be admitted into their schools, we may not be their choice to be given the contract, we may not be their choice to be promoted, but God will make us their only chance. This also means that no true believer is permitted to be neglected or forgotten. That's how far we'd go on today'

THE JUDGE NEEDS THE EVIDENCE! I wish I could tell you that you won't feel bad when the devil steals something that is precious to you. I wish the challenges we go through in life can just varnish without a fight. I wish Satan and his cohorts will cease from existing - so that I don't have to face adversaries on my way to success. Afterall, Jesus had already given me victory over Satan. In Jer 29:10-14, God promised His people that after they have spent 70 years in Babylon, He'd visit them and return them to their land, because He had a good plan for them. However, in verse 12 and 13, He made it clear that even though He had a plan to visit them, they needed to pray and study about their right to God's visitation - before He could visit them and turn their captivity around. It's hard to find people who would pray and study in their troubled state. But that's God requirement for His visitation. We're like lawyers, we must discover our rights, with evid

TIMELY NOTES! God has many of it! It will never come to a time when God will feel burdened to give to you, even if what you need is something He had given to you before. The bible says He performs the things that are appointed for us, and many of such things are with Him. That could also mean that He's ever-happy to give to you, knowing that He has many of what you need. A man who is worth ten million dollars will be very happy to give out five thousand dollars to someone who needs it. That's how God is; He may not be happy that the devil is stealing from you, but He will never withhold good from you. Isaiah chapter 42 explains that God is ready to do something new if only we'd snap out of self-pity and regrets, and tell Him to "Restore". The truth is; no matter the volume of what the devil steals from you, God, your heavenly Father, is not affected. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. TIMELY NOTES! Don't quench the spirit! The state of your spirit is far greater than any circumstance that you may find yourself. No wonder the bible says "we should give thanks in all things, because it is the will of God for man". Our spirit is the doorway that God uses to intervene in our world, and when our spirit is off, God cannot help us. The bible says the Spirit of the Lord bares witness with our spirit that we are the sons of God. That also means, we won't have any proof of sonship if God can't reach our spirit. Situations may become overwhelming, unexpected things may happen, but always remember that "greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world". As long as your spirit is alive, life can be restored to any dead situation in your world. Remember that God had to breathe His Spirit into man before the body of man became operational. If you live by the body, you'd quench your spirit; but if you live by your spirit, you'd g

TIMELY NOTES! Try something different this time. Sometimes we are misguided by our strategies that we hope they're still going to work after trying for so long. Imagine how the disciples felt when their usual method of casting out demons didn't work. And Jesus had to make them understand that there was a need to try something different from the usual. Initially, Christ had taught them a lesson from the fig tree; he told them that if they could instruct any obstacle without doubt in their heart, then the obstacle will respond. If your business has stopped experiencing the measure of growth it use to experience, then you probably need to try a different growth strategy. You may think you have the best strategy, but I can assure you that someone out there has a better strategy. Even though Jesus had given them the best strategy, He knew it was time to engage a better strategy. Remember also that even the best man for the job has his best man for the job. That's how far w

TIMELY NOTES! Things are getting better! Prayer may not totally change a situation, but it would definitely add beauty and color to it. Prayer may not prevent a woman from feeling the pain of labour, but it would give her the joy of being a mother. Prayer may not prevent you from writing your exams, but it would give you a hope for success. Prayer may not prevent you from going for an interview, but it would guarantee you a job. God makes all things beautiful when we pray to Him, including difficult situations. Face your challenges with confidence in God. Faith is risking everything on God, and God will never fail those that trust in Him. Do what you have to do, especially when God has approved it. The process may be painful and difficult, but with God, you're sure to emerge victorious. Prayer couldn't prevent Jesus from dying for our sins, but it guaranteed Him victory at the end. TIMELY NOTES! One reason why we fast is so that we can be sure and convinced about God's plan for our lives. I defined fasting as neglecting every other thing and drawing closer to God. And there's no better way to draw closer to God without studying about God. When it comes to fasting, studying is as important as praying. Praying is like breathing, while studying is like eating; if you continue praying without studying, a time will come when you'd run out of points. God wants to bless us, but He often waits till we find the reason why He wants to bless us. The bible says "When thou has found it, there shall be a reward". Don't spend all your fasting time in prayers, engage in rigorous study about what you're praying for. Isaiah 41:21 says "present your case, and bring your strong proof". TIMELY NOTES! The bible says the righteous shall come out of trouble. No challenge, no matter its intensity, is ordained to end your life. Even if your situation is as bad as what Job went through, there is a way out. Even when men say "there's a casting down, you should know that "there's a lifting up". I've heard Christians say things like "this problem is too big for me". The truth is; there is no problem that comes to a man that is above the man. According to God's perspective, every problem has a secret doorway of escape. A natural man may not know this, but believers should. If a natural man is wandering about with his problems, a believer should be doing wonders - even in the problem. Normally, a child of God should not go through challenges; but I believe the reason why we do is so that we can teach the world how to escape and avoid challenges. TIMELY NOTES! God knows you'd feel pain on your quest for empowerment. He also knows you'd become thirsty and hungry. The bible says "blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, they shall be filled". In other words, the people who suffer the pain of hunger and thirst just to draw nearer to God are blessed by God, and He fills them with His power and glory. For those who are currently undergoing fasting and prayer exercise, i'd like to encourage you from scriptures that; the sufferings and pains you're going through now is nothing, compared to the glory that God will reveal to you in return. Isn't it a wonderful thing to know that the hunger and thirst of a few days is putting the key to a glorious year in your hand? However, don't suffer for nothing. Create a study and prayer time while you fast. Fasting in its real sense means neglecting every other thing and drawing closer to God. And there's really no way to draw closer to

TIMELY NOTES! Faith in God is all you need to live a victorious life. The bible describes faith as "the victory that overcomes the world". This also means that no matter what is happening in the world, faith will always win. However, both faith and victory are in degrees. It is the level of your faith that will determine the level of victory you'd be able to attain. A certain man had a lunatic child who had been diagnosed with several treatments, but all to no avail. The child was even taken to the disciples for deliverance, but it seemed the matter grew worse. The bible records that sometimes the child will jump into fire, and some other times into water. But when they brought the child to Jesus, he was delivered instantly. When the disciples enquired to know why they couldn't deliver the child, Jesus mentioned that their faith wasn't enough, and that the kind of faith that will cast out such a demon will require fasting. TIMELY NOTES! The devil has devised better means of attacking believers. Don't wait till you see a huge bird standing on your roof, or a scary cat standing by your gate before you'd know you're under a spiritual attack. When you begin to lose desire for spiritual things, when you begin to do your kingdom assignments out of duty and not out of desire, when you become weary in well-doing, when you suddenly prefer to hang out with worldly friends than your kingdom friends, when your body is often too weak to engage in spiritual matters, when your finances is constantly degrading, when your health becomes unstable, then you're under an attack. The truth is; the devil has a right to attack us, but he doesn't have the power to defeat us. He has the right to shoot at us, but he doesn't have the power to kill us. TIMELY NOTES! What's the point? Why would anybody begin a race he can't finish? The bible explains that athletes who run in a race must run till the end. Also, it says "it is he that endures till the end that shall be saved". To endure in racing you must endure great training. For instance, if you don't know how to control your breath, you may lose it before you cover the length. There'd never be a time when our encounters in a previous year will be the same as the present. A war might have the same name, but don't expect to fight the same battle. The weapons and skills must have been upgraded over time. You'd be goofing if you think your experience of last year will take you through this year. The path of the just is as a shining light that shines brighter and brighter onto the perfect day. If you're not adequately trained to contain the light that this year carries, you'd miss out. TIMELY NOTES! Your experience is not a substitute for power. Moses had experienced God in different dimensions, but he couldn't cross the red sea until he engaged power from God. Many people are stagnated in life, not because they're not experienced, but because they ignorantly use their experience where they should have engaged power. An organization may employ you because of your experience, but it is power that will keep you in that organization. Many experienced employees have been laid off from their place of work, not because the company no longer cherishes their experience, but because they can't afford to keep them any longer. When you have power, organizations will keep you for as long as you decide to work with them. I've heard testimonies of employees who were promoted even when their employers were laying off staffs. A time is coming when experience will no longer be a criteria for employment, rather, organizations will be looking out for people with pow

TIMELY NOTES! If people are not willing to help you, then it's probably because your power is inadequate. In Ps 110:3, the bible says "your people shall volunteer freely in the days of your power". That also means that you won't need to look for helpers, helpers will be looking for you. The truth is; man will only help you with his security in view; if he doesn't feel secured about helping you, he won't. Power is what gives security to your helpers. You may wonder why many pastors are wealthy, well, it's because they have power, and people feel secured when they help them. But you don't have to be a pastor to be helped, just invest in spiritual empowerment. Working hard may bring you before great people, but it is power that compels great people to help you. Joseph's hard work took him to Pharaoh's prison; but when Pharaoh heard of his power to interpret dreams, he sent for him. And a prisoner suddenly became the second in command. That&#

TIMELY NOTES! Where do I start from? That's a question people often ask when they have loads of tasks and expectations ahead. Well, I'm not sure where you should start from, but I'd tell you what to start with. You must have heard that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Where you start from is less important compared to what you start with. Jesus told His disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel, but that before they begin, they should wait in the upper room until the power of the Holy Ghost comes upon them. Start with empowerment. When God gave Moses the mandate to free Isreal from Egypt, he wondered where to start from and feared that no one would believe him. But God gave him a rod of power - to start with. And as soon as he got the rod, he knew where to start from. To be candid, when power is in place, worry and concerns have no place. Moses, as well as the disciples were worried, but worry ended when power came. The bible even said the
