TIMELY NOTES! Living in assumption is the same as denying your access to better things in life. Many Christians mistake assumption for faith; living in faith is trusting God to do what He can and would do for you, living in assumption is trusting God to do what He can but won't do for you. God can do all things, but there are things He'd rather allow to remain undone. And it's not because He doesn't love you, no! It's probably because it is too small or not good for you. God will only give good gifts to His children. If it is not good for you, don't expect it from God. So instead of assuming that God will do it, ask Him. God does not like it when we live in assumption; and I believe that is why He gave us faith. Faith does not assume what God will do, faith is assured of what God will do. Many Christians even assume their salvation; and this is why they suffer intense difficulties in life. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take

TIMELY NOTES! Faith has no regard for your feelings. Anytime you say "I'm feeling pain", faith says "you'd have to choose between me and pain". Faith is a jealous force, it can't share your attention with any feeling. The way a woman feels when she is cheated is the same way faith feels when you develop feelings for pain or needs. As a believer, you must give faith a priority. God is pleased when He sees you with faith. Faith is highly recommended by God for every believer. Faith knows how to persuade God to stop your pains, heal your wounds, and supply your needs. So instead of developing feelings for your needs, just embrace faith and tell her how great she is. You really can't do anything worthwhile without faith. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words; GOD IS ALL YOU NEED TO HAVE ALL YOUR NEEDS MET. TIMELY NOTES! If you want to change the way you live, then change the way you respond to life. Responsibility is a life changer. You'd remain at the same level until you increase your level of responsibility. Responsibilities are opportunities to advance in life. Many people are not growing intellectually because they're not responsible for any intellectual matters. So also, many people are not growing spiritually because they don't take responsibility to meet the spiritual needs of others. I've never lacked what to write to you. And that is because I've taken writing to you as a spiritual responsibility. I must confess that I'm amazed at the kind of things I write today; if anybody had told me five years ago that I'd write in this manner, i'd deny it. I'm not saying this to entice or upset you, no! I'm just trying to paint a lucid picture that God advances those who take responsibility for others. That's how far we'd go on today's

THEY ARE FOR SIGNS! I was heading home some weeks back when my spirit began to recite Isaiah 8:18. It says "Behold, I and the children that God has given me are for signs and for wonders". I know that scripture very well, so I wondered why my spirit was so excited about it, even to a point of reciting it. And all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit said something I'd call a paraphrase of that scripture. He said "you and the souls I have given you are for signs and for wonders; and it is your responsibility to ensure they become signs and wonders". I knew I had an obligation to win the unsaved souls to Christ and nurture them till they are established in the kingdom, but I didn't know they are my children, neither did I know that I have a responsibility to teach them how to become signs and wonders. But how do I teach them how to become signs and wonders? The same way a coach spends time with his team to train them, is the same way we're expected to train th

THE AGRICULTURE OF FAITH! God’s method of blessing is agricultural. In 2 Cor 9:10, the bible describes God as a personality that “gives seed to the sower, multiplies the seeds sown, and increases the fruits that comes from the harvest”. Note that it didn’t say “God plants the seed”, rather; it specifically mentioned that God gives seed to the sower. Luke 8:5 and Mark 4:3 further describes a sower as a person who believes in a seed. But what kind of seed does God give? Mark 4:14 tells us that the sower sows the word; and that simply means that the word of God is the seed that God gives. That also makes it is God’s responsibility to give us the word, but our responsibility to sow it. It is God’s responsibility to germinate and increase the seed sown, but our responsibility to water and nurture it. Faith is the only acceptable soil that grows the word of God. Mark 11:23 makes it lucid that God will only allow us to have a harvest of the word we don’t doubt. A believer won’

TIMELY NOTES! Patience carries a reward for its bearer. Patience is the distance between faith and the manifestation of your expectations. Patience is not just waiting for something, it is preparing yourself to meet the demands of what you're waiting for. Waiting for God to give you what you'd waste is the same as wasting your time; because God hates waste, and He will never give you what you will waste. Many students have not gotten admission into school because they're not prepared for school. They may be waiting for admission, but God only gives admission to those who use their waiting-time to prepare for what is coming. If you're looking for a job, prepare for one. God is never far from a prepared man. Many people are not married because they're still thinking like a single person; and giving a wife to such a person will only bring suffering to the woman. TIMELY NOTES! Pride is an abuse on grace and a waste to man's efforts. The bible highlights many great men who lost their dignity to pride. Many believers think that "being proud is the same as being bright". But light doesn't need to be proud before anybody can know that it is light.  Let God announce you! As a matter of scriptures, God hates haughty people. Everybody knew that Herod was the king; but he lost it the moment he began to hype himself. Proud people always demand respect; and from experience, people who demand respect from me never get the best of me. TIMELY NOTES! Get on Heaven's payroll! Many Christians are helplessly conformed to this world; they depend on their salary to meet their financial responsibilities. I remember how I prayed to God to help the organization I worked with - so that my salary for 3 months could be paid. And I made that prayer because I was in desperate need of money. I struggled to get to the office that day, but compassion gripped me when I saw the frowned face of my colleague. Then God spoke to me saying "have I not told you that I shall supply all your needs according to My riches in glory? If your salary is your need, don't you think I would have supplied it?". That was when I realized that God does not need my salary to meet my needs. And it wasn't long before I started receiving financial favour from people. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words; ALWAYS REMEMBER GOD; HE IS THE ONE THAT GIVES POWER TO GET WEALTH. IF GOD COULD SUPP

TIMELY NOTES! God loves a cheerful giver. But money isn't the only thing that a person can give. As a matter of scriptures, God desires our heart more than He needs our money; Prov 23:26 says "My son, give me your heart". Praying for the church is also a way of giving; but oftentimes, when people are told to pray for the church, they see it as a burden. Praying for the church without joy in your heart will be a waste of time and energy. What you give God is as important as how you give Him. Joel 1:12 tells us that all our investments are destroyed because joy is withered away from our midst. It's more like saying "all your skills are useless because your certificates have been burnt in a fire". Giving to the poor will only yield rewards when you give it with joy. TIMELY NOTES! The essence of scriptures is to show you the features of your future, how to actualize it, and also empower you to reach it. Anytime you study the word of God, always create a mental picture of what you read, and find a place where such mental picture can feature in your future. God said He has prepared a good and hopeful future for you - just as He told Abraham that He has made him the father of many nations. But Abraham needed to see himself walking in that future before God could take him there. God won't take you to where you can't see yourself. You may have features of a poor man, you may have features of an unintelligent person, you may have features of a barren woman or a single lady that is overdue for marriage. But all those are your current features which can change by featuring in the future that God had planned for you. Abraham was impotent, worthless and hopeless; but God who knew the plans He had for him told him to look beyond his current featur

TIMELY NOTES! The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement. Though it's the biggest, yet it's never scarce. There'd never be a time when you can't create room for improvement. The fact that someone else is better than you means you've not acquired that room yet. When what you are begins to seek more than what you have, then you need to create more room. You must have heard that "the rich also cry", and that is because the room for improvement cannot be purchased with money; rather, it is created with persistence, diligence and discipline. Abraham would have no identity today if he remained in his family house. He worked hard, and also disciplined himself to live according to the precepts of God. And at the end, he didn't only improve, he also acquired the "Father of Many Nations" award. You can't truly improve and not be awarded. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. IT WON'T LAND ON YOU! I was heading for a meeting yesterday when suddenly, there was a wind which triggered the movement of objects towards my direction. All the objects stopped when the wind ceased, but there was one object that didn't stop; I could almost say it developed ability to move on its own. While it drew closer to me, I made steadfast declarations that the object must move away from my path. Really, I didn't know why I was doing that, because I had a choice to just move aside. To cut the story, the object was about ten feets away from me when it suddenly diverted. I saw it pass my left side, and landed under a parked vehicle. While I was thinking about the event, I started hearing "It won't land on you" in my spirit. Scriptures began to run through my mind. Then it dawned on me that the bible says "if I speak to a mountain to be moved without doubts in my heart, then it will move". I also realized that "a thousand shall fall by my

TIMELY NOTES! The output of your hand is determined by the strength of your mind. When you have a mind to work, strength naturally comes to your hands. The reason why many people have slack hands is because they have sluggish minds. If your mind is slow to think, your hands will be low in acts. If your output is too low in the office, check the processing power of your mind. Nehemiah said the reason why they were able to build the wall was because the people had a mind to work. When your mind is willing, your hands naturally work. The proven way to develop a working mind is to get excited at your work. The moment you loose the excitement to work, you'd get your mind off work, and your hands can't work effectively where your mind is absent. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. TIMELY NOTES! Life is a function of additions. If you can't add more then you can't have more. In 2 Pet 1:5-7, the bible talks about adding things to your diligence. In other words, God expects us to be innovative. There is nothing new under the sun. Before fast cars were invented, fast legs, camels and horses existed; Moses and king David can testify to that. Someone just added some ideas, and horses became cars. The demand for development rises when the current system no longer matches the challenges. And development is simply adding more value to what is loosing value in other to retain its value. Every man is created from another man, just as every car is created from another car. Thomas Edison created the first light bulb, but I want to believe that he got motivated by the first two bulbs that God created - The Sun and The Moon. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. TIMELY NOTES! In Phil 4:4, the bible says we should rejoice in the Lord always. That means even when things gets rough, we still have an obligation to be joyful. If Satan can't steal your joy he can't keep your treasures. He may steal from you, but a thief is never the owner of what he steals until the owner decides to let go. The moment you loose your joy to what Satan stole from you, you've simply told him to keep what he stole. But when you rejoice - despite the robbery, the anti-robbery angels will intervene and make the thief to return sevenfold of what he stole. Some people came to steal from David, and when he discovered it, he first asked God whether to pursue them or not, and God said he should pursue and overtake them. It takes a joyful heart to ask God such a question. Don't loose your joy for anything, but report every situation to God in prayer, supplication with thanksgiving. TIMELY NOTES! Ambassadors are representatives of a person, people, organization, or a nation. In 2 Cor 5:19-20, after Jesus reconciled man to God, the bible tells us that those who were reconciled were also made ambassadors of Christ - to represent His purpose of reconciliation. We are not ambassadors of heaven, but of Christ. We represent everything Jesus carries. Jesus said "as the Father sent Him, that's how He sent us". That means, if we walk in His name, we'd have the same level of authority and influence that He has. Deut 11:24 tells us that "where ever the sole of our feet shall thread upon shall be ours". That also means that we can no longer be affected by our environment, rather, our presence in any environment should influence the place. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Notes. But take these last words; THIS IS WHO I AM; I'M AN AMBASSADOR OF CHRIST, AND I RECONCILE MAN TO GOD THROUGH JESUS. NOW TELL ME, WHO ARE YOU? Have

TIMELY NOTES! Knowledge makes you see a way out of any situation in life. Everybody have eyes, but it is not everybody who have eyes that can see. No matter how long-sighted you are, you can't see yourself in the dark. Problems may not kill you, but they have capacity to consume you - if you don't find a way out. When Israel had challenges, God didn't send angels to Jacob, rather, He sent a word. The bible says "He sent a word into Jacob, and it lighteth upon Israel". That also means that Jacob began to see the solution to the issues in Israel through the knowledge of the word that was sent. Even if God will send angels, He'd first send knowledge. Remember how He sent knowledge to Jehosaphat, and when Jehosaphat applied the knowledge, He sent an angel. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Notes. But take these last words; THERE ARE NO NEW PROBLEMS! IF YOU DON'T TAKE TIME TO GO THROUGH KNOWLEDGE, THEN YOU'D DEFINITELY GO THROUGH PROBL

TIMELY NOTES! It is not what you have in you that makes you a star, no, it is getting people to look up to what you have in you that does. What's the use of a fully grown apple tree if nobody benefits from it? A footballer cannot become a star player until he has drawn many to believe in him by his skills. Skill without attraction destroys purpose! In Dan 12:3, the bible tells us that "they that turn many to righteousness shall shine as the brightness of the stars forever". That also means that "a righteous man cannot become a kingdom star until he has drawn many to believe in the righteousness he carries". Righteous-living without soul winning tends to poverty. If you don't sing your righteous songs to people, how will they buy your music? And if they don't buy your music, how will you make profit? I perceive that the reason why many believers are poor is because they've never told anyone about the benefits of righteousness. That's how far we

TIMELY NOTES! God believes in teamwork! The creation of the world was a teamwork. When it comes to reaching out to the lost souls for their salvation, the angels positions the souls to hear the Word; and after the Word enters into them, the Spirit convicts them to believe the Word; and when they get convicted, God draws them back to the Word, because no man can come to the Word except The Father draws them. But until a soul is saved, none of those personalities will rejoice, because heaven rejoices when the soul is saved. The joy of a sower is when the reaper successfully harvests what he sowed. And that's why every sower nurtures the seed sown until it is time for harvest. They may not be the one to harvest the crops, but they want to make sure their labour is not in vain. Many organizations are going through downtimes because they mistake personal-work for teamwork. A marketer is more important in a project than before he got the project. It's not enough to say what you sel

MUCH IS ALSO EXPECTED! God is not happy with a believer that does not bare fruits! In John 15:1-2, after Jesus noted that He is the Vine and we are the branches; He further stated that God takes away any branch in Him that has no fruit. The vine of a tree is what determines the production of the branches. If the vine has no nutrient, then you can’t expect fruits from the branches. If God takes away a branch, then it’s obviously because He expects the branch to have fruits – since the Vine always has nutrients. Believers also carry the nature of a tree. Ps 1:3 tells us that “we shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water”. That also means that it should never come to a time when a believer will not have fruit, whether in season or out of season. There’s a common scriptural saying that “by their fruit you shall know them”. And Matt 7:19 makes it clear that any tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit shall be cast into the fire. TIMELY NOTES! Jesus is not trying to create a way out of your predicaments, rather, He is The Way! Many people are looking for a way out of their challenges when "The Way" out is waiting for them to pass through Him. The Way has no restrictions, anybody can pass though Him. The bible says "whosoever comes to Him, He will not cast him out for any reason". God has given everyone free passage through The Way. But guilt and self-condemnation has made many people to try other ways. If you don't go through Jesus, then you're definitely going through the way that leads to destruction. The bible tells us that "there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is destructive". That also means that; a way may appear right, but the fact that it is right doesn't mean it is The Way. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Notes. But take these last words; DON'T ALLOW YOUR LIFE TO END WITH A STORY THAT WON'T GIVE GOD GLORY. WALK I

TIMELY NOTES! If it ever gets to a time when your thoughts stop giving expression, and your prayers stop bringing utterance, then there's something you need to know. Knowledge is like food to the body, and your life places a very high demand for it. Thinking and praying can be likened to breathing; and if you stop feeding, it won't be long before you stop breathing. The devil knows that God is able to do whatever we ask or think. And that's why he'd do anything to block our access to true knowledge. Many Christians loose their prayer and thinking life because they're starving spiritually. The moment you loose your prayer and thinking life, it won't be long before you fall into temptation. Remember the bible says we should "watch and pray, lest we'd fall into temptation". That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Notes. But take these last words; KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! WE PRAY AND THINK ON IT. ONCE KNOWLEDGE IS DISPLACED, IGNORANCE BECOME

TIMELY NOTES! God is not poor! There'd never be a time when you'd ask God for what is too much for Him to do. Even if His possessions can't help you, He'd lay down His life just to help you. God is Almighty! If He does not do as you've asked, then it's probably because He has more than you've asked. You need to know your rights! Just as many people believe that God knows their needs, God also believes that they know their rights. The brother to the prodigal son knew his needs, but his father told him that what he had as a need was actually his right to have. That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Notes.
