TIMELY NOTES!

There is no greater joy than the joy of the Lord. Not even the joy of having children or a wife, or an husband. The joy of living a purposeful life can't even be compared to that joy. Jesus lived according to His purpose while He was on earth, but a time came when He had to look up to the joy that was set before Him. The bible says we should look up to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him - endured the cross - despising the shame. How would you feel when the people you have so much love for decide to crucify you? If your source of joy is from them, then you'd definitely loose your joy.

Don't make any man the source of your joy; rather, let the joy of salvation dwell richly in you. Any joy that is not traceable to God is a selfish one, and is bound to be lost. When God gives you joy, it naturally transcends to your family, business and life. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Many people have not communed with God since He gave them a companion. And when challenges arise, they run back to God. The reason why people loose their joy is because the source of their joy is not God. If God is your source of joy, then you'd need to loose God before you can loose your joy.

That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words; THE GOD WHO HAS GIVEN YOU THINGS TO JOY OVER ALSO HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO KEEP YOU IN THAT JOY. NOTHING SHOULD EVER SEPARATE YOU FROM COMMUNING WITH GOD! Have a most fruitful day! In Jesus precious name!

TIMELY NOTES! Having faith without a connectivity to the Author of faith is a waste of time. Faith may please God, but love creates a link between the one who has faith in God and God Himself. The bibles says "faith is the substance of things hoped for"; that could also mean that faith dwells on material things. But God is love; having true love in your heart is simply having God in your heart. This makes it impossible for your faith to please God without love for Him in your heart. Being filled with the word of faith doesn't mean you're filled with love for God. Love for God is something you must consciously decide to build.
