TIMELY NOTES!

TIMELY NOTES!

"Spiritual vacation is a risk". That is what Bishop David Oyedepo would often say when the year is rounding off. Every other profession may go on a break from their practices, but Christians should never go on break from spiritual matters. There are many Christians who have stopped praying since December began; they have entered an "holiday mood". Holidays does not cancel spirituality; Matt 13:25 tells us that while men slept, the enemy came and sowed tares, and went his way. Many of the challenges that Christians face emerged from the time they went on a spiritual vacation.

This is the time when you should pray and fast more. This is the time when you should study more of God's word. This is the time when you should give more. It may be an holiday season, but the devil is still plotting evil, he is still going about looking for who to devour. I have seen Christians who travel to their villages and return in a very sick state. Our villages are no longer what we used to call "resting place", you now need enough faith to rest there. Have we not heard that the just shall live by faith? Faith is not something we do for a season, it is what we do for a living. If you do not want to stop living, then do not stop building your faith, holidays notwithstanding.

That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words; FAITH IS FUN. SPICE UP YOUR HOLIDAY WITH FAITH, AND YOU WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME. Have a most fruitful week, in Jesus precious name!

And hey, don't forget to "like" it. And if you really like it, please share it!
