TIMELY NOTES!

God does not do small things. The psalmist says "this is the Lord's doing, it is marvellous in our eyes". In Isaiah 29:14, God said He will proceed to do a marvellous work among the people, even a marvellous work and a wonder. Many people have lost great opportunities because they thought they worth more. I've seen people reject job offers because the pay is small. They prefer to sit at home than to earn a small salary. The truth is; if the fat salary job you desire were available, you may not scale beyond an interview.

Sometime ago my pastor taught me that "thanksgiving is appreciating God for a small thing in a big way". That simply means that we should never allow our minds to think small of God's blessings or opportunities. I believe that, sometimes, God wears a small cloth for big blessings so that we'd have little contentions on the way. We need to start practicing the word of God; let every blessing be marvellous in our eyes. If we see God's blessings as "marvelous", then we won't be depressed or even reject them.

That's how far we'd go on today's Timely Note. But take these last words; THE BLESSING OF THE LORD MAKES RICH, AND IT DOESN'T COME WITH SORROW. THE BLESSING MAY APPEAR SMALL, BUT IT HAS POTENTIALS TO MAKE YOU RICH. Have a most fruitful weekend, in Jesus precious name!

TIMELY NOTES! Having faith without a connectivity to the Author of faith is a waste of time. Faith may please God, but love creates a link between the one who has faith in God and God Himself. The bibles says "faith is the substance of things hoped for"; that could also mean that faith dwells on material things. But God is love; having true love in your heart is simply having God in your heart. This makes it impossible for your faith to please God without love for Him in your heart. Being filled with the word of faith doesn't mean you're filled with love for God. Love for God is something you must consciously decide to build.
